Down the TBR Hole

Down the TBR Hole: Week 5

Everyone has a TBR pile or list that seems never ending. This is a way to clean it up a bit. The way it works is you go on Goodreads and go to your to be read shelf. Order it in ascending order by the date, take the first five (or ten) books, and then read the synopsis of each book. After reading the synopsis, it is time to decide: keep it or remove it? This is supposed to help clean up your list of TBR and if you use other websites for your TBR list, it should still work. This is a meme created by Lost in a Story. Here are the next five.

Shadowhunters and Downworlders Edited by Cassandra ClareShadowhunters and Downworlders: A Mortal Instruments Reader Edited by Cassandra Clare

Now I purchased and added this book to my TBR because of my addiction to the Shadowhunter world. After reading the synopsis, I decided that I’ll take it off my official list but it will remain on my bookshelf to be picked up whenever.

Note: Not the Official Cover. Found on Google. I do not take credit for the Image.

The Queen of Air and Darkness (The Dark Artifices, Book 3) by Cassandra Clare

Since this book isn’t even out yet, it will be taken off my TBR list until it is released. I will probably make a new list for not yet released TBR or something. I don’t really know, but I don’t want to lose track of books that I want to read that haven’t been released.

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

Lord of Shadows (The Dark Artifices, Book 2) by Cassandra Clare

I didn’t even need to read the synopsis for this book to know whether or not to take it off the list. Although I haven’t touched it recently, I have already started reading this book. So, it will be taken off this list and added to my currently reading list.

Ali's Pretty Little Lies by Sara ShepardAli’s Pretty Little Liars (Pretty Little Liars, Book 0.5) by Sara Shepard

This book was added when Sara Shepard announced that she would be writing more books for the series. I had been addicted to the book series well before the TV show was even an idea and was so excited to hear that there would be more books. After reading the synopsis, I decided to actually keep it on the list. I would love to know the book version of what happened leading up to Alison’s murder, so on my TBR list it will stay.

Pretty Little Secrets by Sara ShepardPretty Little Secrets: A Pretty Little Liars Collection (Pretty Little Liars, Book 4.5) by Sara Shepard

After reading the synopsis, I will keep it on my TBR list. It takes place in between books from the original set of books, so I don’t mind reading what happens. It may be a while before I actually get my hands on the book, but it’ll stay on my TBR list for the time being.

How do you keep track of books you want to read but haven’t been released yet? Let me know in the comments.
